Self-Care in Agricultural Communities

Saturday, February 17: 2:15 PM-3:30 PM

Farmers don't always get a break from their work, as their personal life and work are so intertwined. Self-care is incredibly important, but oftentimes not prioritized. Farm First has many resources and techniques that farmers may find useful for stress, having difficult conversations on the farm, work-life balance, and self-care in agricultural communities. Explore de-escalation techniques, self-regulation strategies, tips for productive conversations, and participate in small group discussions on work-life balance. Participants will leave with tools for good self-care and have access to a virtual toolkit.

You can also come say hello to us at the Farm First table on both days of the event. On Saturday take advantage of our free wellness checks available from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM!

The NOFA-VT Winter Conference provides a valuable opportunity for farmers, gardeners, earth tenders, educators, students, policy-makers, and other food system activists to share ideas, resources, and skills.
